David participated as an athlete at Peak Performance Project under Dr. Marcus Elliot, a Harvard-trained physician applying sports science in the care of professional athletes. He is a former baseball player and powerlifting competitor with a 0.385 batting average for UCLA’s club baseball team and 600-pound competition deadlift. He understands the crucial role physical therapy plays in performance, as he has personal experience rehabbing a fractured tibia.

David incorporates corrective exercises, neuromuscular re-education, and progressive overload to help his clients tackle chronic pain and achieve a high level of performance. David’s clinical experience lies in the orthopedic setting ranging from patients with total knee replacements and rotator cuff repairs to professional athletes with long-standing injuries. Instead of administering palliative solutions to the site of symptoms, David seeks to address the root causes. He has an online presence (@DoctorDPK) that he uses to help the wider community pursue biomechanically-balanced lives.

Outside of Hyena, David frequents rock climbing gyms, surfs, and finds himself getting lost on runs with his dog on new terrains.

Simon earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California, widely regarded as the best physical therapy program in the United States. He brings a deep-rooted passion for movement, performance, and patient care to the team. A lifelong athlete, Simon grew up playing baseball and went on to compete in both basketball and tennis, giving him firsthand insight into the physical and mental resilience required to perform at a high level.

Simon’s clinical philosophy is strictly patient-centered, prioritizing the unique goals of each individual to ensure they return to the activities and hobbies they love with minimal pain. Simon is passionate about helping clients regain their confidence—mentally, physically, and emotionally—by bridging the gap between traditional rehab and functional strength training.

When he’s not in the clinic, Simon stays active through weightlifting, basketball adult leagues, and the occasional game of pickleball. He also enjoys the technical craft of cutting hair, exploring his interests in design, and socializing over wine-tastings with friends.

Autumne earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Mary in North Dakota. A former multi-sport athlete, she competed in volleyball and soccer at the high school level and continued with soccer and track & field in college.

As a clinician, Autumne combines evidence-based interventions with a systematic, individualized approach to help patients of all ages, from newborns to 99-year-olds, return to the activities they love. Having experienced chronic pain herself, she brings genuine empathy and practical insight to treating persistent pain and optimizing performance.

She believes every patient is unique and tailors treatment accordingly, guided by her favorite quote: “There are two experts in the room — me, because I went to school to study the human body, and you, because you’ve lived in your body.”

Outside the clinic, Autumne stays active through weightlifting, bouldering, hiking, dance classes, and recreational soccer/volleyball. She’s also an enthusiastic lifelong learner — currently studying Spanish, Japanese, and ukulele.
